Beautiful. I read that virtually all religions contain some versions of the “golden rule.” Ironic, then, that religion and humankind’s inability to tolerate cultural differences underlie the cause of war, is it not?
BTW, I did not notice an option to edit my own comment on this blog. I went to a a previous blog on which I had commented and didn’t see anything amiss there either.
In addition to being a day apart. It won’t be New Year’s Eve day here for another 6 hours or so, and more than that til midnight. Still, the thought is much appreciated. Hmm, weird contemplating your New Year’s Eve coming in summery weather.
even with all of the turmoil, anger, warring, and bad things, I still hold out hope that this time next year we still will have some things to be grateful for, and perhaps nothing we’ve even imagined yet

And no, you wouldn’t see the option on previous comments. The option disappears after five minutes and the comment then becomes permanent.

You really are the eternal optimist, aren’t you. And I love you for it. Now if only some of that would rub off on me …
It might never happen, but it’s a wonderful vision.
It’s been my favorite song since I first heard it. Not that I think it’s really possible but … some part of me has always been a dreamer.
