Project 2025 simplified

  1. I tried to read Project 2025 online and my hair was on fire within a few pages! This is absolutely horrible, and the stuff of the worst dystopian novel ever written. It is also a complete disconnect from the reality of what these policies will bring about.

I absolutely hope that there are consequences!

    1. I neglected to include the tragedy of RFK Jr being named head of HHS. But aside from that, if the courts and Congress can’t, won’t, or don’t act, there’s always the next election. I’m hoping by then (2026 mid-terms) the majority of voters will understand and rectify the monumental mistake they made in electing Donald Trump and his minions.

      1. I hope that I will be allowed to vote as my birth certificate does not match my legal name right now. Sigh. I also hope that there will be elections and that they aren’t hacked somehow…

        1. Given marriages, divorces and legal name changes, I can’t imagine anyone trying to match an adult’s name to their birth certificate. We can only cross our fingers that elections will continue to be honest and fair.

    1. It’s incomprehensible to me that almost half of US voters actually voted for what we’re seeing now. I expected Trump to be bad but he has far exceeded my worst fears.

        1. The more extreme ones maybe. I generally don’t care for extremists. I live here in the middle ground, where I like to think most of my countrymen reside. Or a fair number anyway. Say, 51% of registered voters …

  2. The deplorables consistently vote against their own interests, and their proud ignorance keeps them down in the mud. They deserve everything trump does to them. Too bad everyone else has to suffer as well.

    1. Maybe they think they’re siccing Trump on the rest of us and are too ill-informed or ignorant to understand it will affect them too? You’d think they’d at least realize that Trump’s promise to “bring prices down, starting on Day One” hasn’t been kept.

    1. I get that. But bear in mind it was released before the election, apparently in the hope that maybe a lighter approach might get through to people. Offhand I’d say it didn’t work.
