I get chest pain over this. I can’t look at the images shown on youtube reporting about it. I keep wondering, ‘am I the only one devastated by this?’ I watched a few interviews with people as they calmly discussed his motivation. My heart is broken and I will never, ever, ever, ever forgive those who voted for this animal.
Those of us who feel the anguish and pain over all of this are getting bombarded daily…it’s emotional warfare, but I WILL NOT let the blob break me. I’m sitting here staring out at the woods after having just ordered a box cutter made in Japan. My mind went to the war with Japan and all of the other conflicts that American men and women have died in, were maimed in and died in, to defend our freedom.
It tears at my heart when I think of the injustice of having their sacrifices, their families sacrifices be soiled by a heartless, greedy, cruel excuse of a human being. I can’t believe that so many are willing to let those deaths be in vain. Someone needs to help me make sense of this.
I’m incapable of processing that fact.
It’s horrifying and inexplicable to me that this man was voted into office a second time.
Hubris. So out touch with the average person, and in a time of government shutdown! Talk about bad timing!
He doesn’t give a damn about anybody or anything but himself — his own glorification and being equal to the kings of Europe and the Middle East (hence the tacky gold everywhere). I think it’s quite likely he started the razing when he did precisely because no one was around to object.
There are two relevant sayings in my family: “You can’t buy class” and “All his taste is in his mouth.”
Love this one!
Painful ( as was much of the redo-ing of the place over the years) Still if this is the worst, we’ll survive. Changes seem to always be difficult
Do you remember the TV special with Jackie showing of the badly needed renovations she organized and accomplished? It was so lovely and we owe her a great deal – found donors to help buy back so many of the White House’s original furnishings. Her Christmas decorating was also fabulous there.
I will be terribly upset if a rose garden isn’t beautifully added when all the construction is done. I’ll always connect rose gardens with Jackie.
(There’s a lot I’d rather forget than remember with many presidents . Halloween is full of horrors! HAHAHAHA. Wrap up and stay warm this Halloween – we may actually get a few cold days if this front makes it.)
She was so elegant, so tasteful in everything she did. I’ve no doubt her rose garden will be restored to its former beauty when Trump is gone. I read somewhere that the rose bushes are still there, so rip out the concrete patio and bring back the beauty and tranquility.
Well &%&^*&(!! I only just read that the Rose Garden was bulldozed too. If he had no hesitation in tearing down the entire East Wing, I doubt he bothered to save a few rose bushes.
Heartbreaking
I’ve yet to find the word that truly expresses how I feel about this.
there really isn’t one, maybe ‘gutted.’
That and so many others.

I feel the same way. Have been in tears off and on since it hit the news. And so, so angry!
I try so hard not to vent to my husband because it causes him so much stress and depression.
I have the same problem with my son. He doesn’t need or want to hear my raving, and I’ve been inconsolable this week.
