A wee suggestion for those currently dealing with extreme heat (and even those who aren’t):
The live Katmai, Alaska, Bearcam is up and running for the summer. Perhaps the sights and sounds of a cooler place can distract for a few minutes. River rushing, salmon jumping, bears fishing, gulls scavenging. Can’t hurt; might help.
At 5 pm in Denver, it’s a chilly (in my book) 49°F in Katmai National Park.

I always love seeing them bears, Colorado ! – even though we’re almost mid-winter.
YouTube full of summer crochet designs. Grrrrr … [grin]
Well, yeah, you Aussies probably aren’t big on the bears right now. Sorry ’bout that. I confess I was thinking mostly about people in the eastern half of the United States right now.
Don’t Aussies post crochet videos that are season appropriate?
welcome back to them ! i love seeing them
They are such a fun addition to the soothing sound of the falls.
I’m so happy that you shared this…I’m heading over!
Enjoy!
OH MY GOSH!!! I just watched a grizzly with her cub walking beside a river. Thanks so much for telling me about it.
It’s that sort of unexpected thing that keeps me going back. You never know what you might see.
Thanks for the link. I’m feeling cooler already.
Glad it helped!!
Hey all, I should have said bearcams, plural. Scroll down that page to find multiple live cams from all around the area.
