I just got my ballot yesterday. I’m already getting spammed by candidates.
I’ve been getting spammed for several months, mostly by candidates who don’t even live in Colorado!
So, Colorado – which party did you vote for ? [HUGE grin]
The Blue one. Didn’t even look at some of the names. Just voted for the D’s.
I’ve started getting GOP fundraising emails in my Hotmail box. Not sure how they found me. Unsubscribe after unsubscribe seems to have little effect.
I mark them all spam, mark unsubscribe, and dump them in the spam file. Yet they keep coming. From all over the country!! I complained to ActBlue or whatever that central Dem org is and accused them of circulating my name, even though I’m registered Unaffiliated. They said it’s the candidates who share their mailing lists with other candidates.
Ten billion ($10,000,000,000) has been spent so far on the mid-terms. What a waste!
!!!!!
is it ever!!!!! it feels like it taking a hundred years. i am working with so many people to get so many other people out to vote and then protect them as well if needed. i’m going to be a poll worker that day, so anything can happen
Good for you, and thank you! Watch your back at the polls. I half way expected an ICE goon to be standing at my ballot drop box yesterday. But that’s an advantage we have here. We have several weeks in which to drop our ballots into any one of hundreds of special drop boxes (or regular mailboxes if you want the delay and third-party handling). ICE can’t possibly cover them all. (I’ve already gotten a text from the election board that they have the ballot I dropped yesterday.)
yes, that’s a great option, and i love voting this way as well! as for the polls, we have protection plans in place as needed. and aclu lawyers ready to walk into a courtroom with just a call.
Only 7.8% of Colorado ballots were cast at the polls during our last election. But that could be a very significant amount in a close election. I hope appropriate security measures have been planned.
i’ve heard that the states that have had early voting, are booming –
Fingers crossed!
Postscript: Today I received the email confirming that my vote has been counted. Also a text confirmation.
