I hope so. I was delighted to see the demonstration there this evening, although I didn’t really get to watch because my son was here.

Yup, that’s about right.
I still worry that he’s going to send in the bulldozers one night. The guards posted there now are probably his. Like the East Wing, he’s going to do something irreparable before anyone has time to stop him. It’s a cinch a mere judge’s order won’t stop a bulldozer, any more than a red light will stop a speeding car.
I love that cartoon. I have this concern about what is going on with the Kennedy Center: Trump has been shown to be a man who won’t take “no” for an answer, who will lie, manipulate, bully, and extort in an effort to get his way anyway, and then is willing to tear the entire building down if he can’t have what he wants.
This doesn’t bode well for our upcoming election, and I seriously think that he would rather destroy the entire nation rather than lose power.
He’s furious about SCOTUS stopping his mail-in ballot plan. And now the Kennedy Center thing. Yep, he’s crazy enough and angry enough to decide “If I can’t have it, nobody can” and call in the dozers. As for the election, if Dems take over Congress, or even just the House, he’ll be screaming “rigged!” for the next two years.
It would appear, based on past performance, that he is absolutely unable to accept a defeat. If he can’t have his way, he will burn it all down.
Burn it, bulldoze it, cover it, pave over it, ban it …
And his actions will blow up in his face. I heard recently that the one event that started the swing away from him in the polls was the demolishing of the East Wing of the White House. I remember JFK, and I bet a lot of other Americans do too. If he destroys that building, there will be no coming back for him.
Oh I have no doubt it started with the East Wing. It was so obvious that morning that the bulldozers had hit the East Wing before dawn, before anyone had a chance to stop them. And I’ve been angry ever since. More than once I’ve looked back at some quotes from JFK that I published in 2016 — “We need another JFK.”
I did see a report about the demonstration at the Kennedy Center. There are residents nearby who moved there just to be near the Center, and one of them now stands guard every night to raise an immediate alarm if anything threatens.
Meantime, in the last few days I’ve taken more than a little delight in the mess Donny has created with the press. And watching his standing in the polls sink even lower.
Just one more nail in his coffin. If the nation doesn’t reject him this November, I’ll have to rethink my attitude toward my nationality.
I’ve often thought if I ever left the US, it would be for Canada. Now Trump’s ruined even that. Even if we put a solid blue Congress in place, he’ll still be in the White House. For a while, anyway. More psychotic and revengeful than ever.
