Language, the media, and the endless campaign

  1. Haven’t you paid attention, dear? This isn’t a campaign about issues, it’s about personalities. Rick Davis from the McCain campaign said so. 😛
Anyhow, yeah, this is an idiodic pseudo-issue that needs to go away quickly.

Yeah, my son said the same thing. “Forget issues. The candidates won’t be going there this year.” So is THAT why everyone is fixated on pigs and lipstick?

    I think I’m going to be sick … 🙁

  2. Well, you know the media. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.

OMG, I can’t believe you said that! You’re so funny!! 😆

  3. Amen.

After eight years, we’re finally going to elect a brand new president, and with Election Day less than two months away, all they can talk about is lipstick!!?? That laughter in the background is the rest of the world laughing at us.

  4. I really feel sorry for pigs and ‘old’ fish. Pick on some other animals! 🙂

Admittedly this whole flap has been incredibly unfair to pigs. Old fish, I don’t worry about so much.

  5. Hey 30
This has been politics for many years now. And the media continues to dumb itself down because the idiots think the rest of us are as stupid and mono-brained as they are. The good news is that it’s almost over – the election cycle anyway. The bad news is that the media never met a sound bite (especially a potentially insulting one) that they didn’t like.

… and the worst news is that the next election cycle will begin January 21. 🙁
