No vacant lots in nature

A year ago I stumbled across the website of one of Colorado’s great outdoor photographers, Nate Zeman of Breckenridge. I revisited his site a few days ago to see what he’s been up to lately and found this magnificent photo of White Sands National Monument, NM. There’s a lovely companion photo showing how spectacularly white this sand actually is, but this pink took my breath away. (Click to view on black background, then click “View full size” at lower right to view without distracting text.)

  1. I wonder how many people have made that exquisite image their computer wallpaper.

  2. Gorgeous place…I lost a sock there. One sock. Mom was mad. But it was such a huge sandpile!
Thanks for the link ( and what a glorious picture – those little ripples!)
