  1. Happy St. Patrick’s Day. (Here, have a green margarita and a shrimp taco)

    • Oh, yummers! That beats anything I’ve heard about here.

I had to smile at the grocery store this morning when I passed 5 big burly firemen hovering over the display case of corned beef. They were discussing corned beef and cabbage. One said, “How to you cook it?” Another ventured, “Uhh … boil it, I guess.” They sounded clueless but determined. I was clueless too, but when I got home I watched it being prepared on “The Chew.” Looked delicious … and they didn’t boil it.

  2. ….and yet the Irish never seem to have a great deal to be happy about.

Or is that just the way they appear to me?

  3. Gorgeous poem! The Irish do not seem to ever be happy, I agree. They’ve had a tortuous past, but they need to somehow learn to let go of that. Such beautiful people, essentially‚ÄĒeveryone falls in love with them, but many are disappointed, in my experience.
