Three failed attempts at a postponement this week and Donald Trump is out. Out of luck. His attorneys failed this week, on three successive days, to win a postponement for his hush money trial, scheduled to begin Monday in Manhattan. It will be the first ever trial of a former US President. And it will require him to be in court four days a week for the duration. That’s going to put a crimp in his campaign schedule. Damn, what a shame.
“There’s a powerful public interest to ensure this criminal trial goes forward,” explained Steven Wu, the appellate chief in the office of the Manhattan district attorney. Indeed.
What a shame, Mr. Trump. But you know what they say: Justice delayed is justice denied. And it’s been delayed long enough.

The byline under the photo is delightful ! 🙂 – he looks like he has been, as we say Downunder, dragged through a hedge backwards !!
Oh, the joy of knowing (I think) that he’s going to court !!!! AT FUCKING LAST !!!!
This post is 100% an excuse to circulate and perpetuate the photo. And yes, I wrote the caption. (Glad you noticed it.) I love seeing him, finally, without his cocksure smirk. If I could personally commend Jason Allen for catching this moment, I would. We can thank The Guardian for publishing it. I’ve yet to see it anyplace else.
this is a photo (and the meaning behind it) that I’ve been waiting for
Me too! It’s been a long time coming.
Good.
It’s a start.
His hair says everything.
Looks like a bad toupee instead of his usual slick comb over. And his tie’s a bit crooked too. Tsk, tsk.
