  1. I saw the quote in the email notification, but I don’t see it in the post.

As for what’s coming, I’m thinking it will be a mix of terrifying and entertaining. Clowns have that effect on people.

    1. This theme lets me choose what is said in the letter. I opted for that quote and since then haven’t been able to decide if I want to include it in the post or not. Or I could let the theme pick up a number of words from the content automatically. Or put in nothing. The quote is repeated on the blog’s front page.

If I end up laughing at this particular clown, it will probably be the result of hysteria.

  2. Today I googled for images of Murderbot, thinking that I would post tomorrow “Welcome to the Corporate Rim”. Between the Project 2025 items and the out-of-control corporate greed that we are facing, this is going to be just awful. Hugs to all of us.

      1. Let’s all pray it IS only four years. This arsehole and his brown-noses will do their utmost to do away with the time limit – Constitution or no.

        1. They’d probably like to give him a lifetime appointment. After all, kings and emperors serve for life. As do Supreme Court justices. He considers the Constitution a minor inconvenience — if he considers it at all.

  3. According to 47, I’ve been living in a failed country, a cesspool of corruption, crime and exploitation by the underbelly of society and, of course, evil migrants. I guess now I should brace myself for the “golden age.” I’ve ordered the popcorn.

    1. Yep, kick back and enjoy the show. Inflation tamed, grocery prices back down to “normal” (he’s going to “fix” the problem), disease- and crime-ridden immigrants gone, the border wall completed, etc. It’s going to be a land of milk and honey — at least for the Washington oligarchs. Such an impressive group of experienced, highly competent public servants rushing to do their part …

Enjoy your popcorn. I’ll be in my cave.

        1. johnthecook…My apologizes for not making it clear who I wanted to hear from. Would you be willing to respond? If Mr. Wheeler would like to respond, I would like to know his thoughts too. V/R johnthecook.

        2. Interesting question, John. I was very impressed with what Kennedy did with the space program, but overall I’d have to say Obama. He accomplished a lot re health care, a big issue with me as a doctor’s kid, and I also find both the Obamas very likable. They also exude class, something that money can’t buy.

    1. Oh, absolutely. That was my thought the minute they announced it. And I immediately thought of that photo of his last inauguration with what looked like acres of open space.

    1. Beats me. I deliberately avoided news all day until late yesterday. I just didn’t have the stomach for it. But I wanted some local late news, like about our insanely cold weather, etc. And Musk’s salute was the first thing that popped up. I’ve long thought he’s really strange, but those salutes … his childish side thinking he’s cute? Or a hint of what he thinks is coming? He’s a creepy, weird individual.
