    1. He certainly scares me. Don’t know from one minute to the next what he’s going to say or do, and no matter how stupid or awful it is, NOBODY is stepping up to stop him. A few judges now and then rule against him but he just ignores them.

    1. History says he’s always been selfish and self-centered. But now we can add drunk with unbridled power and increasingly unhinged with age and developing dementia. Definitely scary.

  1. By golly, it was delightful when rumpT missed out – as we all noo he would. I mean, are the people who administer the various Nobel Prizes complete maroons ? (My husband much preferred that version of ‘morons’.) No, they ain’t. Quod scripsi scripsi.

    1. I wasn’t concerned about this year because the cut-off date for consideration was back in February. But assuming this latest peace deal in the Middle East holds (which is not at all certain), he might be a contender next year. I was encouraged by a PBS article several weeks ago which said, among other things, “Experts say the Norwegian Nobel Committee typically focuses on the durability of peace, the promotion of international fraternity and the quiet work of institutions that strengthen those goals. Trump’s own record might even work against him, they said, citing his apparent disdain for multilateral institutions and his disregard for global climate change concerns.”

  2. johnthecook…the Political outcome /resolution concerning the GAZA territory in Israel has Biblical consequences. Solving that problem is like shoveling water against the tide. In due time the water will win because dams to hold the water back will fail! History has proven that to be true.

Go ahead, you can say it ...
