More derangement

  1. I’m surprised he didn’t set it to face outward! After all even a No King should be able to see from his throne any “subjects” who might be out there.

    1. Oh that’s why he wants that view. He wants to keep an eye on his minions and make sure no one is sneaking up on him. And if that’s the former East Wing out there, he wants to keep an eye on the construction of his ballroom.

  2. Glass brick is a good solution for this. It lets in lots of light, protects privacy, and never collects dust like drapes or need adjusting. Glass brick now comes in different attractive designs.

    1. Yes, I’ve seen it used very attractively. But it can’t be opened if you want to see out. As it happens, in my master bath, there are clerestory windows on two walls above the shower/tub corner. Really nice. Natural daylight, fresh air if I open them, and I’m tall enough to see out a little bit. Also, the sills could easily be used as shelves.
