Remember Renee Nicole Good

  1. First impression: trigger-happy agent, gun in one hand, pistol in the other. Final judgement: I’ll wait for conclusions of investigations, if we can still do them. This is tragedy writ large and a symptom of the political divide under leaders who are making it worse.

    1. He had a gun in his right hand, phone/camera in the other. That’s how we have his own video of what she said before he shot her. The FBI seized all the evidence, including shell casings and her car, and will not permit any investigation other than its own.

Needless to say, I drew my conclusion several days ago.

    1. Not necessarily. I’ve read something about Congress discussing defunding or something along with impeaching Kristi Noem. Plus Denver and other places around the country are enacting or planning to enact laws forbidding law enforcement officers from wearing masks. Temperatures rising on both sides.

  2. The no-masks would be a huge step: those utter swine would be FAR less likely to carry on as they now do were everyone able to see who they are (and photograph them) !!

    1. That’s my thought as well, although I can understand some concern about doxing. Still, I think local police departments, for the most part, don’t wear masks. Nor the military. The anonymity afforded by masks promotes bad behavior, just like anonymity online.

E.g. On January 1, a new California law took effect banning most law enforcement officers from wearing masks that hide their identities while conducting official business.

        1. As I noted above, California has passed a state law banning masks. Denver is currently debating a similar law. Don’t know anything else definite. (Been trying to decompress a bit and not look at national news)
Of course, ICE has routinely ignored local and state laws, regs, officials, etc.
