How do you divert attention when your name is still being mentioned in conjunction with the Epstein files? And the Supreme Court, your Supreme Court, turns on you and takes away your beloved tariffs? And Congressional Democrats have the nerve to start another governmental shutdown with the express purpose of hamstringing your ICE thugs, er immigration police? And the fake news polls say your popularity has sunk to 36%. And you want to show the nation and the world how tough you can be before the midterms?
Start a war. That’s the ticket. And to make sure it gets maximum attention, do it without consulting Congress. Damn the Constitution, full speed ahead. Blow up lots of things. Put lots of highly visible ordnance in the air and on the ground. (Sure, some people on the ground will die, but they’re Iranians.) Bomb a bunch of cities. Kill Ayatollah Khomeini. Regime change!
Oooo, and when it ends (hopefully before too many American soldiers get killed), when you declare peace (humbly, of course), it’ll be another step toward that Nobel Peace Prize!
What have you done, Donald? What have you done?

If I didn’t know better, I’d think he was trying to start a world war. He is, after all, the self-declared Peace President. Or is he the piece president…taking a piece of this, a piece of that?
I don’t know if he intended to start a world war because I don’t give him credit for knowing what he’s doing. But he might very well have touched off a much wider conflict than he intended. And he may discover that getting out will be a lot harder than getting in.
Or maybe he doesn’t want out. Maybe he’s in there for the oil.
appease his friends in the Middle East, take the money, walk away without caring what happens to any of the humans, delay elections, stop the Epstein inquiries…
… and show his buddy Vlad that he’s a tough guy too.
Trump now knows he can do whatever he wants and get away with it. I predict he will attempt to eliminate Congress now. They are more of an obstacle than a benefit to him.
He’s doing the next best thing. He’s completely ignoring them.
Cynical?!? you? Hard to believe … 😉
Yes, I know. But I’m fresh out of dispassionate objectivity.
