President Obama was in Denver today as part of a three-state western tour with stops in Colorado, California, and Washington. All nicely displayed in a map on a blue press pass, with the relevant states highlighted in white. Except, instead of Colorado, the staff highlighted Wyoming. The White House, of course, is not the only well-known entity to make this grade-school level geography mistake.
For those still wondering, Colorado is the southeastern-most state on this map.
Oh My God! Sorry but that makes me laugh.
The worst example of such confusion was when some similarly erroneous map appeared where my son works — the admin offices of Denver Public Schools. That one made me cry.
