Heartbreaking …
Thanks for drawing our attention to this heartbreaking news. An entire crew of specialized hotshots the core of firefighters all lost. My heart goes out to their families and all the citizens of Prescott as most were locals. Their bravery in the midst of the conflagration will not go unnoticed.
Hotshots are the elite, the cream of the crop, the very best of the men and women who fight forest fires. I think I”ve stopped crying about it and then I get choked up all over again.
I have survived a fire myself and not everyone did. I live on a forest island that’s vulnerable to wildfire and I comprehend that the cream of a crop have lost their lives trying to save the homes and lives of their neighbors. I wept too and as I started typing this I began weeping again.

This had me in tears the other night. Thinking about dying like that. OMG, how horrible!!!
And we’re strangers. If I were a friend or family, I think I’d need professional care.
