It’s a giraffe calf, finally

Lots of news today. But perhaps the happiest is that April the giraffe, at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY, finally calved this morning. I managed to miss the whole event (early in NY is really early in Denver) but there are videos aplenty on AAP’s Facebook page for those who want to watch. Or click the link “Watch the Giraffe Cam” to see the little guy live — and still a bit unsteady. He’s pretty cute.

There’s a naming contest in progress, but you’ll have to pay $1 for each vote or submission.

  1. About time! I watched for over an hour last month. Glad I gave up watching as I needed to live my life.
I saw the legs hanging out this morning, but forgot to look again. I am sure it will be available to view on Monday.

  2. Surely it’s not the resurrection. ????? 👿

Happy news, emanating from the good ol’ USA, for a change.O_o o_O 🙄

Well Done April, you’ve lived up to your name. 😄

  3. Beautiful animals! And the calf is especially adorable.
