‘Cowboy’ Carter cover? Seriously?

  1. Besides which, Colorado, the horse is a pacer, or a trotter: in harness racing the horses are driven by blokes sitting in two-wheeled carts called sulkies. A most uncomfortable ride, it would be – were she even remotely capable of staying on.

  2. I think she was on a horse on another of her covers, or some promo campaign for a concert maybe. I read today that she wanted to make this album for a few years because she never really felt accepted in the county culture. interesting –

    1. I don’t follow pop music at all but I certainly know her name. Whatever genre she wants to do is fine with me but I’ll admit I never thought of her as country western. Maybe Lil Nas X (sp?) opened the door for a lot of singers who’ve wanted to try something different. His “Old Town Road” was certainly a huge hit.

She or her publicist may love horses but it appears neither knows anything about riding.

      1. yes, I’m guessing it’s totally for the effect, and I’m sure you’re right. my granddaughter is a fan and I’ll ask her what she thinks of the new album. I remember when Darius Rucker from hootie and the blowfish crossed over to country, but I’m sure it’s not an easy transition

  3. First time I ever saw her sing was at the Houston Rodeo on an outside stage when she was a little girl. Cute little thing belting out a song – and applauded by all sorts of p[eople in hats and boots….
But the image also bothers me – concept fine, but implemented badly – far too flat – she looks like a Barbie doll sticker stuck on a picture of a horse. Could have been done so much better

    1. I’ve no issue whatsoever with her talent. It’s just that cover art that looks so bizarre. I like your description. It does look like a sticker stuck on a picture of a horse.

Go ahead, you can say it ...
