Which old witch? The wicked witch. The one named Kristi Noem. The woman once known for a singular act: She shot and killed her own 14-month old pup for not doing what she hadn’t trained it to do. And she thought enough of the deed to include it in her 2024 I-want-to-be-Trump’s-VP book.
Not much changed after Trump made her Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, which put her in charge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). We know how that went. Under her leadership, some 3,000 poorly trained, gun-toting ICE agents invaded Minneapolis and proceeded to violate the rights of seemingly everyone they encountered. Arresting, gassing, beating, breaking into homes, detaining 5-year-olds, and fatally shooting two peaceable American citizens — Renee Good and Alex Pretti — then lying about what happened despite both incidents being caught on video for the world to see.
She was so bad that Trump, who tolerates the likes of Kennedy, Patel, and Hegseth, decided she had to go. So he relieved her of her DHS duties and made her his “special envoy for the Shield of the Americas,” his initiative to shift US national security strategy to the Western Hemisphere.
In firing/reassigning Noem, Trump cited her leadership failures, allegations of infidelity, staff mismanagement, and feuds with the heads of other agencies. All were distractions from his vaunted immigration and deportation crackdown, which he had declared were his highest priority as president.
Still, what had he expected from someone who thinks shooting is an easy solution to a vexing problem, and who shot her own dog rather than properly train it?

Well, since she is apparently untrainable, I’m surprised Hair Furor didn’t follow her lead . . .
Who knows what’s to come. Both are so alarmingly unqualified for their jobs.
I was so pleased to hear that she was finally gone. Her brazen lies, the way she declared some American citizens to be terrorists or enemies, was shocking. I do think that what killed her was marketing herself so brazenly to advance her brand. The orange man does not like that!!
No, he does not. And she was doing it with his money, more or less.
