Stupidity is a condition.
Ignorance is a choice.

And then, of course, is willful ignorance! If another person tells me that both parties are exactly the same (corruption-wise), I’m libel to smack them.
Add a smack for me. Make that two. It’s one thing to remain willfully ignorant of, say, an obscure foreign language. It’s quite another to remain willfully ignorant of facts that directly affect you and your actions. (And I don’t mean “alternative facts.”)
Alternative facts = lies. I prefer leadership that deals in facts and truth.
Me too. We’re so old-fashioned expecting things like truth and facts.
The danger of the internet is that it takes so little effort to opine. The main value of a college education, I’ve long thought, is not the specific knowledge gained but the self-discipline learned in going through the process.
Self-discipline in what you say and do. Critical thinking when considering what others say and do.
I’d have said critical thinking is the most important lesson. Self-discipline being critical thinking turned inward, perhaps.
a world of difference
Yes, there certainly is
johnthecook…was it ignorance or stupidity that led to allowing undocumented and illegal aliens unvetted into the USA? US taxpayer dollars are providing bennifits to them.
I couldn’t say, John. I didn’t know any of the people involved.

Hi, John!
johnthecook…PiedType, did you receive my response to your remark “I did not know them…”
Found it. Apparently it didn’t post because the credentials (email?) were not recognized, or something. Not sure. I’ve been having comment/login problems myself on friends’ blogs. Still haven’t figured out what’s going on.
