If you’ve any interest in natural science, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the mysterious moving rocks on Racetrack playa in Death Valley, Calif. Scientists have been wondering for years how rocks scattered on the playa manage to move, as evidenced by the tracks they leave in the dried mud. Those theories that involved wind, water, and ice were close to the mark, but no one had any actual proof (ie, seeing and proving that the rocks were moving) until now:
So cool!
Great story. Also, I like the lizard at the end of the video. Funny and creative. 🙂
I was so excited to see this. I’ve wondered about those rocks for many years. Yep, I like the little guy at the end, too. Looks like the “horny toads” I used to catch all the time when I was little. Haven’t seen one in many years.
These videos were staged to take the heat off the Visitors.
Ya think? 😉
You’re right PT, this is very cool! I think I saw or heard that the mystery had finally been solved, but somehow for got to go check it out. That video is excellent! 🙂
I love it when science finally solves a mystery like this.
Fun! Fun! I always thought the rocks were magnetic and there were trolls underground with magnets moving them around for giggles.
GoPro cameras wouldn’t have been as much fun.
Poor trolls. I bet it gets hot under there …
