There was a special dedication ceremony in Boulder, Colo., yesterday in which the historic downtown post office was renamed “Officer Eric H. Talley Post Office Building.” Talley was one of the first police officers to arrive at the scene of the March 2021 shooting at the King Soopers grocery store. Ten people died that day, including Officer Tally.
The renaming required an act of Congress and the signature of Pres. Joe Biden.

At the dedication, Officer Talley’s mom recalled something he’d once told her:
Mom, there are things worse than death. And for me that would be standing there, waiting for backup, when people were dying.
If only Uvalde had had just one man like this …

“If only Uvalde had had just one man like this …”
AMEN
From the moment I heard that quote, Uvalde was all I could think about.
