I mentioned last month that the TundraCam, a live interactive webcam near Nederland, Colo., was back on line. And I promised to show where to look for Longs Peak and Mt. Meeker. Yesterday I finally thought to grab a screenshot for that purpose:

The distinctive flat-topped peak on the left is Longs. The peak on the right, with the snowy couloir down its face, is Meeker. Set the camera’s margin dots as shown and you’ll see these peaks. I apologize for the framing but I had to act fast; as is often the case, the camera moved seconds later, either automatically to its home position (a really annoying new feature, as best I can tell) or because someone else had taken control.
The camera’s home position looks west. Pan to the left, or south, to spot the barely visible Pikes Peak about 90 miles away on the distant horizon, conditions permitting (sorry I didn’t think to include the control dots when I grabbed this shot):

Here’s a closer shot of Pikes Peak from 2024:

I get tired of looking at the camera’s home view, so here (and in the header) is a slightly different view, captured this morning:

There’s been a lot of snow in the high country in the last few weeks, but this exposed ridge northwest of Nederland was raked by 90 mph winds last week, not uncommon in this area. (The nearby Indian Peaks webcam is located on appropriately named Hurricane Hill.)
