One square mile of Earth’s surface can look like a lot of different things when viewed from a satellite. These are just two of many images from The Jefferson Grid, an Instagram site that features many such images from Google Earth and the Public Land Survey System. Be sure to check out the other pictures; you won’t be sorry.
Wow, how artsy! A picture of some 78 LPs and the view through a broken window!
😀
I saw a target on an old weathered sheet of paper and an intricate wood mosaic or parquet. Be sure to check out all the images. They are equally artsy and fascinating.
Will do — thanks for sharing!
Wow, incredible. The art of nature and man converges, eh?
Yep, amazing what a different point of view reveals.
Cool site! Easy to see where abstract art came from?
It is, isn’t it.
Would never have thought to look at such imagery as art before! Fun that you saw an old target… I saw a radar scope and an inbound target (Klaatu & Gort) to DC 😉
Oh, it does look like a radar screen, doesn’t it! I hadn’t even thought of that. And complete with inbound target, too.
Years ago, I worked with maps as part of my job. Love them.
